There’s a little secret most North Dakotans don’t know about the taxpayers’ bail out of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. While Congress was encouraging them to make all those bad sub-prime loans, Freddie and Fannie were making big campaign contributions…to members of Congress…like North Dakota’s Byron Dorgan and Kent Conrad, Democrat leaders in the Senate.
